Revision of Assignment 1
Title -
Gates of Atlantis: Quest for the Crystal Skulls
In this action adventure game, you take on the role of Roy Elrich, A professional Treasure hunter in search of the legendary crystal skulls, which are scattered throughout the world in the ruins of the old civilizations. These old civilizations vowed to protect the skulls from anyone trying to bring them together, which if combined would bring the whereabouts of the ancient land of Atlantis to light. The reason as to why they tried keeping Atlantis from being unearthed is a mystery, a mystery Roy Elrich will try to find out. He will face many tribulations and fight many different kinds of enemies, human or supernatural, to try to find the truth.
This first level of the game puts Elrich in an island off the coast of Nim Li Punit, Belize, an island home to an ancient Mayan citadel that holds the first skull and clues to the whereabouts of the others. upon reaching the shores of the ancient land, Elrich will face enemies that conventional weapons alone can't defeat, so running away will be the only way to survive until he finds a weapon powerful enough to kill the enemies on the island.

Map Assignment
This map Illustrates what my tutorial level would look like in my untitled game. This game is set in modern times, and it is inspired by the Crystal skull legend, and not that abysmal Indiana Jones movie that came out a couple years back. In this game, you play as a professional treasure hunter in search of the legendary Crystal Skulls, Which if all found, would hold the key to finding the lost city of Atlantis. These Skulls are scattered in many locations around the globe, and will be closely guarded by a multitude of enemies, human and supernatural.
This tutorial Level is a small ancient Mayan island which holds the first Skull and Clues to where the next one may be. This Level would help familiarize the player with the basic control schemes used for combat and usage of items. it will also include your first ancient weapon called the obsidian blade which has the power to kill the enemies guarding the skull, since modern weapons only slow down their attacks, giving the player a chance to run away. It may sound a little cheesy for right now but I believe it may have potential to be really cool.
